If You Must, Drink THESE beers

This is a good list of lower calorie beers. When I started dieting I resented not being able to drink a tasty beverage like everyone else. I discovered that some of the 0.5% beers you can buy in the grocery store are actually pretty good. Sparkling apple juice is also one of my favorites as a wine substitute. The more you can do to make yourself happy when dieting, such as drinking lower calorie beers, the better. Thanks for the tips.

Hi,

I saw you on Phylicia’s blog on JC site. You are doing a great job losing weight. Can you tell me truthfully is the food good and what is the cost of the food?

I’m on Nutrisystem and I’m not as pleased by the food!! It’s also pricy. Thanks.

Lisa

Lisa,
thanks for your comment and I will answer “truthfully” as you requested but know that it is MY truth and not necessarily THE truth because that varies right from person to person when it comes to food. I have been on this program over 2 years and in that time I have purchased the food for 1 of those 2 years. I won the “Ideal Size Contest” as one of the 10 finalist and the prize was a year of food.

As far as taste I can say that I initially tried everything and some entrees I LOVED and others not so much but I didn’t think that was any different than when I would try recipes on my own and some I loved and some not so much. Once I had tried everything then I could zoom in on what I loved and I personalized my menu right away after that. So I can TRUTHFULLY say that I LOVE every meal I get because I did that upfront work.

Now as far as cost. For me I spend less money because I would stop at fast food restaurants and drive thru cafes on a regular basis for “snack”. So there was the actual dollar cost and then for me I was SO incredibly miserable with my weight and my life when I joined that I would do anything to feel better. Life is short and to me I was robbing myself of valuable irreplaceable time. THAT has no price. I can also tell you that now 40lbs lighter my clothes are cheaper because I can get more off the sale rack and I don’t have to be limited to plus size clothing stores. So I feel like I’m making money back that I’ve spent.

I hope I have helped you. I’ve shared my truth with you and I hope you consider the program and discover YOU truth about the program food and cost. If so drop me a note on the JC board.

Hope
